Pasta is a pick me up kind of recipe for most of us! I am not very fond of pasta but I love making it for little one. The best part about pasta is that you can experiment with the sauce you use to serve it with. Often, I turn veggies like pumpkin, carrot, beetroot and spinach into a pasta sauce and the little one loves the variation if food.
White sauce pasta or the bechamel sauce pasta is loved across all ages. I don’t proclaim that I make the best bechamel sauce but I do have hack that I use while making this white sauce pasta recipe.
Here is a quick pasta recipe that is has improved over time with practice and is loved by the boys in the house
Recipe Ingredients for Pasta
• A bowl of finely chopped veggies such as carrots, bell peppers of all kinds and spring onions
• 1 Tsp. chopped garlic
• ½ cup boiled corn
• Two cups boiled and strained pasta (I used the penne pasta)
• 2 cheese cubes grated
• 1 cup milk
• 2 tsps. Italian Seasoning. (Tip – Don’t throw away seasoning packets you get with pizzas)
• Salt for taste
• 1 Tbsp. Oil for cooking/Butter
• Basil or Coriander leaves for Garnishing
Heat Oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic. Once the garlic turns brownish, add in the chopped veggies and the boiled corn. Sauté the veggies well.
Once the veggies turn tender, add salt and the seasoning. Now add the boiled pasta and stir it well. Now turn off the gas. In the meanwhile, in another pan, heat the milk. Once the milk comes to a boil, add the grated cheese and stir well till it turns into a sauce like consistency. Now add the veggies and pasta to this sauce. Keep stirring till the pasta is coated with the sauce. Adjust the seasoning as per flavor.
Serve with some grated cheese and roughly chopped basil or coriander leaves as garnish.
