Bollywood Celebs teach us about the basics of fitness

The festive season is again round the nook and I am definitely digging my closet to find that dress I can fit into. The winter cheer lets you layer up giving you the opportunity to camouflage that little fat that is trying to play peek-a-boo. However, at some point or the other, we all want to be fit and healthy. Our jaw drops and eyes open wide when we see someone who is fit and looks gorgeous at the same time. We all know of all the fad diets that come and go and somehow we cannot stick to these diets for long. I am sure you have even envied some of the celebrities as to how it a good body comes to them so easily.

Let me tell you a good diet, a healthy lifestyle and a great body doesn’t come easy, you have to work your way to it. It is like running a race, you have to run it if you want to reach the finish line and you have be quick and good at it too.

Let’s ponder over the basic requirement of staying fit and healthy

Exercise Daily. Exercise daily for at least an hour. This could be any form of exercise. Walking is the simplest and the most beneficial type of workout for your entire body. You could choose between yoga, walking, swimming, Pilates, dancing, running etc. Alia Bhatt has definitely set up standards not just for her acting skills but even for her fitness dedication. Hrithik Roshan is terms at par with the Greek gods not just for his looks but for this drool worthy body too

Eat the Right Foods and Portion Each Meal. No matter how bad your stomach is telling you to go for candy over healthy food, try to stay away from sweets and pick a fruit instead. Exercising is important for our body however did you know that even for fitness it’s a 80:20 ration. Eighty percent is your diet and twenty percent is your exercise. Some of us definitely have the hormonal imbalances or some medical issues that don’t let us shed our weight easily however the kind of food you intake goes a long way in keeping your health in check. Right from Akshay Kumar to Ranveer Singh to Katrina Kaif, everyone has stressed on eating right and eating good home-cooked meals. You also need to eat your meals on time and balance them well with fruits and liquids.

Keep Track of Calories and Food Intake Per Day. There are a lot of apps available online that help you do that. Also read about the signs your body would give you when you are craving a certain type of food. For example craving for a chocolate always would mean your body has a magnesium deficiency or a craving for salty food means you are dehydrated. So always balance your food.

Be Sure to Get Sleep. The term “Beauty Sleep” is not just meant for females, it indicates that you need a good amount of sleep a minimum of seven hours for your body to function at its best. You need to make sure that you have undisturbed and relaxed sleep every day. This is something that celebrity nutritionists, Luke Coutinho and Rujuta Diwekar both recommend.

Also I would like to add this simple and doable fitness project that famous nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar had started which not only makes you fit, it also helps alter your lifestyle in the long run and keeps you energized.
