The best lessons I learnt from Enid Blyton books.

Books are my gateway to the enchanted land, to the land of musings for the wanderer in me. I can feel happiness flooding through me the moment, I enter a book store. I feel like Harry Potter at Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley.

Books are an assortment of emotions for the one who reads them. They never fail to amuse me with the varying experiences that are present in them. If you have picked up a book and never visualized yourself as one of the characters in the book, then you haven’t read enough.

Books are a great medium not just for gaining knowledge and building vocabulary but for also fueling your creativity.Books help you develop your character, transform your habits and even are like magical wand that can transmute you to a different person altogether.

Books not only create a wonderful emotional bond between people who read them but are great way to engage kids.Books should be like the first gold or silver a parent buys for their kids because what is hidden within the pages of the books is equally priceless.

My favorite children’s authors are too many however there are some life lessons that I always ponder over, come from one of the best authors ever, Enid Blyton. Her books metamorphose you to a mystical and remarkable world.

Put your mind to it, and you can overcome anything – It then doesn’t matter whether you are child or an adult. If you put all your energy and focus into something, you will come out a winner and if not a winner, you surely will be amazed at your inner strength.

You can’t run away from your problems – Well, it does have resemblance to, ” you can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape my love”, song by Enrique Iglesias. It may sound very cliche but the only way to solve your problems is to stand strong and face them.

Friendships aren’t always immediate – If we as kids understood this, then we would hardly have any fights. Friendships are like wine, the older the better. The more you let them brew, the stronger they are and they are never built overnight.

Dream Team – Even Noah had to put animals and people on his ARK to do what the almighty had instructed him to do. While we all like to shine like a star in the sky, its never a lone star that brights up the sky. To achieve a certain task or handle a situation or even achieve a dream, you need people beside you all along.

Picnics are the best meals – As adults brunches and banquet meals may excite us and we may be always dressed for the occasion but nothing compares to the carefree meals you would have under big tree. The tree overlooking everyone and wind playing peek-a-boo, sharing meals and cracking jokes inside of clanking glasses are indeed memories you would want to carry in your treasure box forever.

Her name is enough to conjure up vivid images full of zest, eagerness, mystery and fun. The books bring you happiness and glee and leave you with lessons you never knew you were learning while reading the books.
