Winters often lead to your hair getting bleak and dry. This happens because your hair looses it moisture due to the climate becoming dry.In order to avoid all this you need to modify your hair care routine and your diet too. You can read about super winter foods that one should consume here

Here a re few tips that you can follow to keep your healthy and nourished –

Keep your hair covered – Scarves are a great accessory to cover your hair and they also add to your fashion style. Covering your hair protects it from dry and wet winters. You can even flaunt a trendy hat or a stylish beanie once you have put on the scarf which will avoid knotting of long hair.

Moisturize Often – The dip in temperatures is bound to make your hair frizzy. Along with keeping yourself hydrated with water and fresh juices, you need to make sure your hair is moisturized too. Oil your hair regularly or use appropriate hair masks and wash them well. Washing your hair everyday can make it frizzy or dry it up hence make sure you always use a conditioner and keep your scalp dry and clean.

Deep Condition Your Hair – The temperature in winters will constantly be dropping which leads to your hair loosing moisture. You should opt for deep conditioning atleast once or twice a month depending on your hair type. Deep Conditioning locks the moisture in your hair and avoid hair breakage leaving your hair healthy.

Change your hairstyle – I love to keep my hair loose as that makes me look stylish however considering the weather, you need to opt for protective styles. You can always alternate between keeping your hair braided or tying it in a ponytail. You can try topknots, buns, half buns etc. This is after all the season to layer up and experiment with styles.

Food – Yes it all comes a full circle with food eventually. Remember, we are what we eat, hence make sure you are eating all sorts of colored food this season. Colored food refers to all different colored fruits and vegetables, especially the red, green and orange colored food items. Opt for healthy juices and smoothies and avoid fried food. Once you keep yourself nourished from within, it will show on your skin and hair.

These tips for sure are some ways to tend to your hair and skin which tends to get neglected sometimes in the festive hustle bustle.
