A small poem I wrote that depicts how societal views can get the best out a person.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I strongly believe that if we cannot appreciate a person, the least we can do is not criticize them!\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Star light, Star bright, there is a star that shines bright.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She followed the light of the shining star,<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t know if I could walk that far!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Trodden with responsibilities and firmed with faith<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Seldom for her gender she was haith.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A warrior she didn\u2019t want to be,<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She followed the rainbow and it was the world she wanted to see.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With sparkle in her eyes and courage in her soul<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The IQ of a scientist and the power of a bole<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She marched ahead leaving the ill-talkers behind<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She crossed many mindsets that resembled the wynd.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She followed the star that shone bright.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In light it sometimes faded but in darkness shone just alright.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With a fierce mind and heart of a little girl<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With joy and happiness, she did a little twirl.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The girl who followed the star light<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Was now closer to the stars that shone bright.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Is It easier to fight depression, yes, it is!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Is it easier to fight the views of people about a rape survivor, not sure about that?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

She was warrior for sure but she succumbed to the endless comparisons of her life to a normal one!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After all being a highly educated corporate leader didn\u2019t matter,<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

What mattered was her reflection in the eyes of the so called society!!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
