Often, I considered the prospect of being a superhero and juggling it all. Little did I know, that when it comes to remote working, the grass is not really green on the other side. . As per experts, despite the many challenges that are outlined in telecommuting, it is a work arrangement that is here to stay. There are 18% people who work remotely and about 16% of companies hire full time remote workers too. There are surely more benefits than what meet the eye when it comes to telecommuting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/i.pinimg.com\/564x\/54\/0f\/54\/540f540ccd2e9f841343886030142547.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>https:\/\/i.pinimg.com\/564x\/54\/0f\/54\/540f540ccd2e9f841343886030142547.jpg<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>With more than 38% companies already having a remote work set up and that number definitely scaling up in 2020, here are reasons why telecommuting is good for all of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5>Benefits of Telecommuting from the Employer&#8217;s perspective. <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the pandemic and offices shutting down, lower costs is one reason why employers are happy with remote working. Various other reasons include the following<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Better productivity<\/li><li>Lower costs for various departments<\/li><li>Lower bills and overhead expenses<\/li><li>Lower attrition rate<\/li><li>Better connectivity<\/li><li>Flexibility to hire the best talent from anywhere. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From an employer&#8217;s perspective the benefits of remote work are many however as employees and especially as parents, the world has found telecommuting to be extremely challenging. However there are a few things one can do to improve working from home. Additionally, it&#8217;s not as bad as it seems. You save up on all the time you would otherwise spend travelling and can use that time to be with familia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More time to do other things &#8211; I have often found myself cribbing about the lack of time to do things for myself. However, while working remotely, I have come realize that by tweaking my work schedule, I can easily make time for things I like to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning new skills &#8211; When we are at work, we tend to approach other colleagues for help but when you are on your own, its different. You have to learn a few tricks of the trade yourself. Working remotely gives you the confidence to research and learn a few important work skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Telecommuting is here to stay.  To get the best results, and to ensure both parties are happy, employers need to look at ways on keeping employees engaged and motivated. On the other hand, employees must not let complacency set in and stay focused. Well, as a parent, telecommuting may not seem a blessing in disguise on most days. But, trust me, managing online schooling while you are away at work is tougher than managing it while you are at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With adopting the right technology, clear communication, using tools to stay organized, and following a routine, telecommuting is going to be best thing in 2021.
